Gambia Bound!!
If you would like to put some money towards the solar panels I am donating to the Konteh family in the Gambia, please click below
Alright...Things are rolling. Countdown is ON. Just 3 weeks from today, I'll be in the air on my way to Madrid for a few days then down on in to the Gambia for 6 weeks of music and culture. Its hard to believe its actually happening, but it is. Still a few more shots to get. Supplies...have to figure out Logic a bit better for recording an album for Jali Bakary and whatever else may come up. I expecting to fill my hard drive at least...guess I should buy 2! ...the solar panel situation has morphed a bit, and I found a company in Arizona that sends them to the Gambia all the time. So I hope to solidify that in the next few days.
Also the blog is up...I was having trouble finding it in search engines, but maybe thats just because its brand new. Hope to have the kinks worked out soon. I plan to fill it with photos, news, ramblings, videos as time allows.

I'll be doing a big benefit on Saturday, Feb. 2nd from 9-midnite at the Palette Art Cafe(105b Healdsburg Ave in Healdsburg) featuring my friend from Austin, Tx., Erin Condo. I'm thrilled to be playing with Erin again. She's awesome and I hope she chooses to stay out this way for a while...you can hear her at her myspace page, or visit www.erincondo.com
And if you'd like to contribute towards the panels, but can't make the show, you can do it safely and securely through paypal!!

Man. its the new year...its a fortnight into the New Year at that. Crazy. Had a nice "holiday season" full of visitors and great gigs. It was a blast and a much needed collaboration to share the stage with Sara Shansky at the Toad in the Hole as the year drew to a close. And now, with only a few weeks left until my departure to The Gambia, the clock is ticking and I'm trying to gather my wits. A little ragged today, but a full update of the plans will be forthcoming in a newsletter and on this page. There will be a fundRzr on Feb. 2nd at the Palette in Healdsburg for the solar panels I plan to bring with.

Holy shit....Time Flies, don't it. Sorry for the tiny updating lag. I god deathly ill last week and it sort of threw the proverbial wrench in my proverbial gears. Having a 2 week cold is no good for singers, let me tell you that!
well. the good news is that we are going to be busting out some new tunes...(some New New, and some New Used...or previously played by other bands) Its about time we play some Clash songs, you know. So come on out this Saturday, tomorrow. gonna be good.

Happy Halloween ya'll. It should be a fun one, with numerous parties I will be trying to make it too. French waiter for the 3rd year running. This will be the last. There's a dance party with costume contest at the Ravenous tonite and a Gala Crazifest at Palomar (home of the old skating rink and old Bandstand for the likes of Count Basie...right here in Healdsburg). Nothing else to report really except I'm about to buy my ticket for Africa!!!

Yo world. Its tuesday, and already its better than monday, after the late afternoon cancellation of our show later that night. Had they cancelled 1, 2 or even 3 days in advance. that would've been cool. But its all in the past. Now...I woke up to a few nice phone calls and one email in particular from my friend Nick Kiriaze, whose band in High School, "Spilt Milk" was the "other" band at school, and we all traded and swapped players throughout the years. He emailed to inform me he had performed a fix on my Russian made phaser pedal and completed the custom FUZZ box he built me from scratch. I can't wait to see how closely I can replicate the obscure Guinean guitarists of Bembeya, Balla, and so forth......If these names sound obscure, rummage some of the links and just maybe, you, as I, will become obsessed with West African music from the 70's.
So, I'm happy now. Co
me on out on Friday. its gonna be a fun one. would love to see y'all out there.

It's Fall, ain't it. Definitely in the air. A very contemplative time for me, and most everyone it seems. The air is crisp and there's that eternal sadness that encompasses everything. Reflection is the theme and I look back on where I was just one year ago, and realize that in this last year, I've finally made the shift to a full time music career. Every time I leave my house to "go to work" I have a guitar in my hand.
I'm SOOOOO grateful for that. I really want to thank all the people that have been coming to our shows so regularly and making it so damn fun. The Country Festival was a blast, though a little thin attendance wise, even for the main Attraction. Makes me realize just how much publicity and word of mouth really make a thing happen. I'll do my best to keep ya'll posted. Every now and then I fall behind so I apologise for that.
So, this Matrix thing in SF is turning out to be really fun. We kind of wing it and play lots of funk and blues, and feel very swanked out in Gavin Newsome's old bar. If mondays are good for you, come on down or out, we'll be doing some other nights there as well, for those who don't have random schedules.
again. I'll keep you posted. oh and check the links page....lots o goodies there!

Its the Country on the River Fest this weekend!
Country Music (are we country? this is a good question.
I've never really
thought of my music as country, but I like a good country song. I like
me some chickin' pickin', too.)
At any rate. We're on the bill with the Buckshot Boys, Trailer Park Rangers,
Pete Stringfellow, and of course, Hal Ketchum. Oddly enough, one of my
drummers and one of my guitarists out in Austin were in his touring
band for quite a while. I may see some familiar faces! Hopefully all of
yours.

Hey Everyone! Welcome.
Glad you could stop by. I hope to keep it interesting for you. If I can spend that much time in front of the Macbook. Which I already do, so I guess I can. There will be a lot of new features. There's lots of new stuff happening. A new name for the band. And new songs, and along with that some new recorded tracks, from shows and such. Videos too. A new email list system. New pictures. Check it out. I hope you like. (Although it is extremely inferior to my web designer's work, I do have a "myspace" account that you can link to above)
Don't forget to Check back often. I'll be posting up Mp3's and photos regularly.
Come out to our show this Saturday if you're in the area this weekend.(see poster--------
---------------->) and also, note the NEW NAME!!!!!!!
Yes, after some closed door sessions with Piledrivers Local 34, the WWF, and some execs in the "entertainment" industry, we decided settle for a cool million and change our name. Now its only 3 words, nice and compact, monosyllabic and so forth.
So, yeah. have fun.
